Astute Bloodstock Magic Millions averages

The Magic Millions book 1 yearling sales saw some outstanding results for yearlings out of mares purchased and "mated" by Astute Bloodstock.

The six yearlings offered from these mares sold for an aggregate of $3,950,000, averaging $658,333 - more than double the sales average and well above that of the leading vendor.

These yearlings are:

  • lot 167 (I Am Invincible x My True Love colt), sold for $550,000.
  • lot 417 (I Am Invincible x Spright colt), sold for $1,600,000.
  • lot 550 (Snitzel x Wild Rain filly), sold for $350,000.
  • lot 687 (Capitalist x Bridle Lane colt), sold for $450,000.
  • lot 690 (Blue Point x Bumbasina colt), sold for $900,000.
  • lot 710 (Pierro x Champ Elect colt), sold for $100,000.

We achieved a similar result last year at the 2022 Inglis Easter Yearling Sales, where yearlings out of mares purchased and "mated" by Astute Bloodstock sold for an average of $743,000, well above the leading vendor ($675,000) and the sales average ($399,000).

The broodmare sales will be here in no time and buying the right mares, along with choosing the most suitable stallions, are the two most important steps in the business.

If you are looking to improve your experience and your results in the breeding game, feel free to get in touch.

You do well when you buy well!

Last Saturday was a special day for Astute Bloodstock given that each of our 5 runners rose to the occasion and won convincingly at Royal Randwick and Flemington. Our priority at work is to select and purchase future elite racehorses so it was a thrill to see 3 winning at Gr.2 level.
