Nouvelle Again wins two maidens…
Purchased by Astute Bloodstock for $30 000 at the 2013 Melbourne Premier sales, 3yo filly Nouvelle Again (Von Costa de Hero – Flurry’s Gem) ran a good second at her first starts at Geelong last August. She then had a few average runs due to wet tracks (which we now know that she hates) and she won her maiden very convincingly by 2.7 lengths this January over 1600m at Seymour.
The recent cobalt saga has disqualified the winner of her first start and our filly is now the winner of two maidens. With $30 000 prizemoney and $8,300 of VOBIS gold bonus the 3yo filly has now reimbursed her purchase price.
Congratulations to Lindsay Park Racing and all the owners involved. The big filly has been given a good spell and we look forward to her progress in the spring.
Both our purchases from the Melbourne Premiere 2013 sales, Our Kaboum and Nouvelle Again are now multiple winners.

Last Saturday was a special day for Astute Bloodstock
Last Saturday was a special day for Astute Bloodstock given that each of our 5 runners rose to the occasion and won convincingly at Royal Randwick and Flemington. Our priority at work is to select and purchase future elite racehorses so it was a thrill to see 3 winning at Gr.2 level.
