Pilote d' Essai wins the Ballarat Cup
What a thrill !
Despite a very wide gate in a big field Pilote d'Essai flew the start and led all the way to win the Ballarat Cup in impressive style.
Apprentice jockey Regan Bayliss rode a beautiful race and said" He had no luck in his recent races, drawing wide gates, getting back in slow tempo, sprinting well but getting tired. Today we rode him forward and I was able to let him bowl along on long reins. He then sprinted home and showed us all the ability that he really has."
Congratulations to David, Ben & Tom as well as all the Lindsay Park team.
We would also like to thank Mark Pilkington and all the owners Peter Devit, Craig Gordon, Russell Gordon, Darren Thomas, Peter Katelanis and Tom Payne for embracing our recommendation to buy the horse in England last year.
