REFORMIST confirms his ability at Group level.

After winning his first start impressively at Warwick Farm, REFORMIST (3yo colt by Dissident) finished 3rd in the Gr3 Ming Dynasty over 1400m.
It was only his 2nd start and despite a heavy 9 track, he hit the line very well. The colt has shown a lot of ability from the start but didn’t race as a 2yo, as Chris Waller and his team felt that the colt would benefit from a bit of time to mature. Like his sire, Dissident, who won his best races as a 4yo, Reformist is showing significant potential and we feel that the horse is on an upward trajectory.

Thanks to all the Waller Team for their patience and horsemanship. Reformist was purchased by Astute Bloodstock at the 2018 Sydney Easter sales from Middlebrook Valley Lodge for $140 000. On the pedigree side, REFORMIST is closely related to the Champion sprinter-miler Pierro.

Last Saturday was a special day for Astute Bloodstock given that each of our 5 runners rose to the occasion and won convincingly at Royal Randwick and Flemington. Our priority at work is to select and purchase future elite racehorses so it was a thrill to see 3 winning at Gr.2 level.
