Ventura Storm, second to Winx in Turnbull Stakes Gr1
Despite running short of his best distance, our import Ventura Storm put in an excellent performance to run second in the Turnbull Stakes Gr1.
The Champion mare WINX was better than ever and it is a credit to Ventura Storm to run second to such a sensational horse. Also, Ventura Storm did manage to defeat the 2 times Gr1 winner Humidor who was more fancied in the betting.
After the race, David Hayes said “it was an excellent performance which would have won 9 out of 10 Turnbull stakes but this year we are facing a true Champion. I think Ventura Storm is going to be an outstanding stayer in Australia for the next couple of years".
